iE "Early Adpater" Joe Nevin Featured In NY Times!

iNCREDIBLE eARS customer Joe Nevin, who retired from the entertainment industry to pursue a passion for skiing, was featured in the Friday December 21 edition of the New York Times! The story was headlined Smoothing Bumps For Boomers and it detailed Joe's specialized instructional programs for older skiers in Aspen, CO.

According to the story, "in three days of lessons, (Joe) erases the fear (of skiing difficult areas) and, without demanding young, quick reflexes or extraordinary agility, teaches his students to confidently ski black-diamond, even double-black-diamond, mogul runs."

Joe has a web site chock full of information about his Bumps For Boomers, including his approach to training older skiers!

The Last Remaining GREAT Rock Station???

Back in "the good 'ol days," there were some GREAT rock stations on the FM band. In the 80s, I always thought KLOS 95.5 in Los Angeles was a "can't miss" station, but that was then and now is now! If you're still searching for "the last great rock station," I think I've found it! It's KFOG 104.5 out of San Francisco. You can listen on the web or you can listen --like I do-- in great sounding stereo on a Roku SoundBridge radio. However you choose to listen, I think you'll love KFOG 104.5!!!

RIP Dan Fogelberg -- Dead Of Cancer At 56

Although I never considered myself a Dan Fogelberg "fan," I always had a tremendous respect for him as a musician. As a longtime horse racing fan, I enjoyed Run For The Roses every time I heard the song, and --particularly-- when people used it for this video tribute to the ill-fated Barbaro, the winner of the 2006 Kentucky Derby (aka The Run For The Roses). As you might recall, Barbaro suffered catastrophic injuries shortly after the start of the Preakness two weeks after his scintillating victory at Churchill Downs, and --after a long struggle to survive-- was spared from further suffering in early 2007.

Dan Fogelberg lost his battle with prostate cancer Sunday December 16 at the far too young age of 56.
